Lead Vocalist, John Siino hails from Pittsburg, California. He comes from a family which had various interests musically, and it is reflected in the voice that John has honed for the past 35 years. As a high school student, he auditioned for a musical on a dare, and received the lead role, and thus EVOLUTION – The Ultimate Tribute to Journey started. As a member of “Nightshift,” a popular top 40 band in the late 70’s, and early 80’s, he found that he especially loved to croon. He moved on to Rock and Roll with the unique blend of soul and metal in his voice.

In 2000-2002, he performed the role of Nunzio, Tony’s father in, “Tony and Tina’s Wedding,” an off Broadway smash, further working on a stage presence that is unmatched. In 2003, John was the founding member of the original Floorshakers, which started as a Rock, Blues band. In 2004, he had a vision of a Big Band sound, with horns and harmonies that would mix music that most bands would not dare to attempt – Tower of Power, Journey, Greenday, Blink 182, and Earth Wind and Fire all in the same set. They said it couldn’t be done, but along with fellow musician, Doug Muscardo, they formed The Floorshakers, a Funk, Soul, and Rock ‘n’ Roll group. They are a very successful 10 piece band that still performs today with a revised lineup. John got married, moved back to the San Francisco area where he had been living for the past 11 years, and auditioned for “A Tribute to Journey” band he saw in the musicians’ want ads. Earning one of the final two slots, along with Don “The Rocket” Stephenson, EVOLUTION was launched under the present lineup. The challenge of performing nothing but Journey is what appealed to John, and he continues to amaze audiences (and band members alike) with his stylish and commanding tribute to Journey’s best.
