Eric Fleming
Bass Guitar & Vocals
Bassist Eric Fleming was born and raised in Livermore, California. He picked up the bass guitar as a senior in high school and joined the talented local metal band, Throw Down. For many years he and his friends played every seedy bar and club in the Bay Area that would host live music.
Around 2001 Eric began regularly contributing with the live music team at Crosswinds Church in Dublin. There he refined his skills as a rhythm instrument and provided a solid foundation at the church for almost 15 years. Through Crosswinds, Eric collaborated with countless extremely talented Bay Area musicians and joined the Heart tribute band Bad Animals in 2003.
Near the end of 2009, Eric auditioned for and was offered a spot with EVOLUTION – The Ultimate Tribute to Journey as bassist and vocalist. He spent the next four years entertaining huge crowds all around California. After stepping away to raise his family, he was offered a chance to join his old friends and honor the world’s greatest rock band live once again.
Eric cites his influences as Billy Gould of Faith No More, Tom Hamilton of Aerosmith, and Michael Anthony of Van Halen. When not performing, Eric tries to learn guitar, reads science fiction novels, (still listens to metal) and is a fan of the A’s, 49ers, Sharks, and Warriors. He lives and works in the Sacramento area with his wife and two daughters (his biggest fans).
